Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve Nestled along South African breathtaking Wild Coast, Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve is one of its own class big five private game reserves with an emphasis on luxury and thoughtful detail .  Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve is situated in a prime malaria free zone in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. The reserve offers many unique opportunities as it encompasses five different regional eco-systems (biomes) and a tidal estuary. Inkwenkwezi‘s rich diversity of landscapes offers you an unparallel wildlife viewing experience. This Cintsa Valley land was mostly uncultivated and is rich in natural fauna and flora including some rare cycads species only found in the Eastern Cape. It is prolific in natural indigenous bush, aloes, has five of the biomes in the Eastern Cape, abundant bird life including the Stanley Bustard and Rare Ground Hornbill amongst the 180 identified species as recorded by Neil Smith, local ornithologist. Fencing of the reserve was started in 1983 and today two-thirds of the Reserve is fenced with the other one-third due to the fenced off by the end of the year. There is ongoing program of eradication of invasive plants but the Wildlife and Environmental Society, under the auspices of Avril Wilkinson, will be starting a Research Project, which will involve new concepts with invasive plants versus indigenous. Over the years, stocking of the game park has resulted in there being over 40 species of game, such as buffalo, rhino, lion and evidence and sightings (by adjacent farmers) of leopard which have been encouraged by the buck/game to return to the area. This reserve boasts the Big 5 but in fact if one considers the uniqueness of the reserve being adjacent to the coast and the possibility of spotting the Southern Wright Whale, it would be the big six! Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve has become a catalyst for employment in the area, having started with 10 people and now employing 80 with the numbers set to grow as the reserve develops further. During construction, only local companies, including builders, carpenters etc were contracted with both skilled and unskilled labour being provided by the local communities. To further encourage local employment, crafters will be encouraged to provide the Curio Shop with locally crafted items. Inkwenkwezi Private Game is a short distance away from magnificent beaches and a short convenient drive to and from the East London Airport. Game Lodge

Sibuya Game Reserve-Forest Camp What makes Sibuya Game Reserve so tantalising is that it has more navigable river than any other game reserve in South Africa. Consequently, as a birding destination it is hard to beat: there are nearly 400 different species. Spectacular viewing areas on the reserve offer the visitor sweeping, breathtakingly beautiful panoramic views and the river also provides a particularly scenic backdrop for all the other game Sibuya has to offer the visitor, including the Big Five. A diversity of wildlife, from elephants to otters, grace the East Cape valley bushveld, grasslands and coastal forests that are the main terrain of the game reserve. To make it even more attractive, Sibuya lies within easy access on the malaria-free Sunshine Coast with its reception in the little seaside village of Kenton-on-Sea, not even 130 kilometres from Port Elizabeth. The reserve's vegetation is varied and includes open river plains, lower Albany thicket, patches of Cape fynbos and grassy plateaus on which visitors are sure to spot larger grazing animals.
Bloukrans Bungy - Face Adrenalin Our purpose: to give people the most amazing experience of their lives. We’re having a great time, we love facing our fears and overcoming them, and we love helping other people do the same. • We run the world’s highest natural bungy jump - on Africa's highest bridge - and we offer walking tours of the bridge, too. • We keep everyone safe, treat everyone with respect, help everyone have fun. • The Bloukrans Bridge is 216 meters high. • We secure you in a full-body harness combined with ankle connection to ensure your safety. • We use pendulum bungy technology (the cord is secured to the opposite side of the bridge from the launch platform) so that you’ll enjoy the smoothest, most comfortable bungy on the planet. When the cord pulls you out of your free-fall, you’ll immediately segue into a huge pendulum swing as you rebound towards the bridge. Our safety record is100% accident-free. By the end of December 2015, 292,831 people had bungeed Bloukrans (we opened the bridge for bungy in 1997, although we introduced commercial bungy jumping to South Africa in 1990.) We have had a number of world records associated with Bloukrans. In 2003, Bloukrans bungy was recognized as the world’s highest commercial bungy jump. In 2008 we were part of two more world records. Veronica Dean performed 19 bungy jumps in one hour and Bill Boshoff performed 101 jumps in a 24 hour period. Bill’s world record was subsequently surpassed, in 2011 we facilitated Scott Huntley to regain the world record with 107 jumps in the 24 hour period. We have played host to the likes of Prince Harry, Jack Osbourne, Thabo Mbeki, The Zuma family, Bobby Skinstad, Hansie Cronje, Fanie De Villiers, Kelly Slater, Andy Irons, The Amazing Race, and many more famous and not so famous visitors - you never know who you could meet on any given day at Bloukrans, the world’s highest bungy bridge ! We have also been contracted by ITV’s “I’m a celebrity get me out of here”, The USA production of “The Amazing Race” and have featured in a number of local and international advertising productions. We have always supported the principles of the triple bottom line (financial, social, and environmental accountability) Bloukrans Bungy acknowledges the rights of workers, upholds South Africa’s labor laws, and encourages local entrepreneurs to share in our success through the establishment of businesses of their own (catering, curios and gift sales, etc.) at our Bloukrans campus - which attracts thousands of visitors every year. Bloukrans Bungy pays 10% of turnover the to the Tsitsikamma Village Trust, which was established to improve the lives of members of our local community. GPS co, 33 degrees 59`55 Action & Adventure
Stormsriver Adventures (Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour) Stormsriver Adventures is a professional responsible tourism entity and market leader in cable sliding. A “FIRST IN AFRICA” rurally eco-based Adventure Company situated in the heart of the majestic Tsitsikamma Forest region. The company boasts adventure activities, which include the Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour. Experience the uniqueness of the Tsitsikamma Forest from an aerial perspective 30 meters above the forest floor, MONKEYING AROUND!! A 2½ hour "green" family activity full of fun!! At Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour we pride ourselves on being inclusive to people of all abilities. The tour consists of 10 slides accompanied by two qualified guides. The equipment consists of a full body harness, pulley, safety gloves, and helmet. The construction, of the slides and platforms, is non-invasive, with no bolts, nails or screws penetrating the trees. Gently glide along two galvanized steel cables with a diameter of 13mm, wrapped around the trees, with rubber padded wooden blocks between the cable and the trunks, so as not to damage any part of the tree. The same method is used to tie the metal frames of the platforms, to the trees. These cables and wooden blocks are retentioned and adjusted every year to prevent bruising of the bark, and to allow the natural expansion of the tree trunk as it grows. Two species of indigenous trees are utilized on the system, namely the Outeniqua Yellowwood (Podocarpus falcatus) and Hard Pear (Olinea ventosa). Both of these tend to grow out beyond the forest canopy and make up most of what is known as the emergent tree layer. They are generally the largest trees in our forest and their relatively slow growth makes them strong and resilient. Stormsriver Adventures is more than just an Adventure Company as it has been firmly committed to Community Upliftment for the past 19 years, employing and training community members. Furthermore, 90% of the staff is from the local area and a committed Equity and Skills Development Plan has resulted in locals progressing to senior management positions and shareholders within the company. It was always the intention to make the staff part of the company who now own 48% of the operating company. "WE INVEST IN PEOPLE and OUR ENVIRONMENT" Action & Adventure

Chokka Trail The Chokka Trail is a 4 day/3 night hiking holiday in the greater St Francis area between Oyster Bay, St Francis Bay and Cape St Francis. The hiking holiday kicks off with hikers exploring the untouched coastline between Oyster Bay and Thysbaai, where the cape clawless otter often puts up a show in shallow waters, if you are not lucky enough to see small buck, you will find their spoor on the beach and the birdlife is prolific. The Oyster Bay Dune Bypass System, called the Sand River by locals, is a 16km sand of sea, to be conquered by hikers on day 2. The trail leads from Oyster Bay to Dune Ridge Nature Reserve on the outskirts of St Francis Bay, and could be the most challenging of the 4 days. The moving dune field sometimes opens century old middens, protecting pot shards, bones, teeth and huge shells for future generations to see. The wetlands become a hive of bird activity during the wet months, changing the scenery completely. The last two days covers the rest of the shoreline, with many highlights – the second largest blow hole in southern Africa, an unknown Khoi grave, shipwrecks, more middens, the tallest masonry lighthouse situated on the south eastern most point of Africa as well as a visit to the SANCCOB Seabird and Penguin Rehabilitation Centre. On day 4 hikers enjoy a tour of Port St Francis where they also do a calamari tasting and see a chokka cleaning demo, and hike to the famous St Francis Bay canals, from where a boat will take them through the most successful manmade canal system in South Africa to a restaurant for a farewell lunch. This is far more than a hike, it is an educational experience while enjoying the outdoors. It is untouched and unexplored beauty at its best. The trail is moderate and suitable for ages between 10 and 80. Hikers are out there enjoying the 62km trail while there luggage is transported, with a hot meal, warm shower and cold beer waiting at the end of each day. It is fully catered. Beach Experience

Raggy Charters Raggy Charters has won 5 major Tourism/Environmental Awards during the last year. It is the only licensed boat-based whale and dolphin watching company in Port Elizabeth. We offer clients a personalised ocean experience where they have the opportunity to see whales, dolphins, seals, sharks, penguins and other seabirds in Algoa Bay. We are dedicated to providing an educational and personal experience with the marine life found in our bay, showing guests as much wildlife as possible during our cruises, whilst educating them on the marine environment and its vital need for conservation. Our Visitor Experience superiority is confirmed by the fact that we have been rated # 1 on Trip Advisor for the last 4 years of the 19 tours to do in the Metro. Raggy Charters was established in 1997 in order to fund the Baywatch Marine Conservation Project which was founded in 1992. The project is dedicated to marine conservation and research in Algoa Bay. During cruises we take guests to St Croix Island, which is home to the largest breeding colony of African penguins in the world. These endangered birds have rapidly declined, losing 70% of their numbers in 8 years. Raggy Charters has assisted our resident scientist on a weekly basis in researching the reasons for this decline. Due to the results achieved, the whole eastern portion of Algoa Bay is about to be declared a Marine Protected Area. This is the best option available in order to best preserve the remaining penguin population. We recently won the BirdlifeSA Owl Award for “outstanding contribution to the conservation of birds and their habitats”. It is along the St Croix Island route that we have the best chance of finding all the other exciting marine creatures that frequent our bay. Between June and December we find the ‘gentle giants’, both humpback and Southern right whales. They travel thousands of kilometres to use the safe and warm shores of Africa as their breeding grounds. Humpback whales are well known for their acrobatic breaches and they never fail to amaze here in Algoa Bay, as we see thousands of them passing by. Southern right whales prefer the shallower waters and seem to really enjoy getting close up and personal with our guests as they lazily roll and dive around the boat. We are lucky to boast some of the best bottlenose dolphin sightings in the world as 28 500 individuals use our bay every year. Their numbers are ever increasing, as we constantly see calves amongst the often 600-strong pods. We recently launched Algoa Bay as the Bottlenose Dolphin Capital of the World and last year we achieved 76 sightings of these magnificent creatures in a row! The launch was attended by 350 people, including the Minister of Tourism, the CEO of Eastern Cape Parks and the CEO of Nelson Mandela Tourism who jointly hosted the event. Between February and June each year we get to witness the incredible Southern sardine run. Guests sit spellbound watching the feeding frenzies with thousands of common dolphins launching through the waves trying to herd the fish in to a ball, with Cape gannets and other seabirds dive-bombing the shoal. Penguins, seals, sharks and game fish help themselves to the feast and then bryde’s & minke whales wait until the end to finish the school off, as they lunge through the water, mouths open wide, engulfing anything in their path. This year Raggy Charters hosted our 6th BBC film crew who are including this phenomenon in their latest documentary. Our bay is also home to 250,000 Cape gannets breeding on Bird Island, and 6000 Cape fur seals at Black Rocks. We see humpback dolphins mostly in the summer months. It is during this time that the surface is covered with the tiny fins of baby hammerhead sharks. During the winter months, apart from the migratory whales, we also find albatrosses, petrels, terns and other pelagic bird species! We have recently launched a full day cruise to Bird Island in order to view the largest colony of gannets on the planet. This tour is gaining popularity by the month. There really is something for everyone in Algoa Bay! Marine Adventure

"WE INVEST IN PEOPLE and OUR ENVIRONMENT" Scenic Beauty
