Nthabiseng Elizabeth Mokgothu
Lizzie Mokgothu completed her completed her matric in 1979 and went ahead to do secretarial course at Hillside View College in 1983. Thereafter she went to work for a law firm for over 5 years and decided to move on for new challenges and came to JHB where I joined the tourism sector. For 15 years she has been in the industry. She first worked for Decorex in 2001 which was sold end of 2001 and went to work under the leadership of Carol Weaving at Rai Exhibitions now known as Thebe Reed Exhibition. When an opportunity came at SATSA she left and joined them and because there was room for growth she started as a membership liaison and two years later was promoted to run the membership department at this interesting tourism association. Lizzie has passion in developing SMME’s and enjoys seeing them succeeding in this industry. She was previously a judge on ETEYA and worked hard to recognise well-deserved SMME’s. She has also helped Matjhabeng Municipality in Welkom as an adjudicator for their Service Excellent awards for two years. She has also been in tourism projects like Speed Marketing and now an adjudicator for 2015/2016 Lilizela Awards. She enjoys working with people more on the development. In 2016 she was given another opportunity to work in the Transformation Department at SATSA.
