Tourist guides who are being entered into the competition must be in possession of a valid registration issued by the relevant Provincial Registrar.

Tourist guides nominated to participate in the competition must have been informed by the nominator that he/she has been entered into the competition.

Short-listed candidates will be notified in writing and will be subjected to a further adjudication process.

The competition is not open to staff of provincial and national tourism agencies or provincial or national tourism government organizations.

Provincial winners will be entered into Lilizela Tourism Awards where they will compete nationally amongst other provincial winners.
